CSCA 2017 Convention - Basic Course Interest Group - Registration Now Open

Hello Basic Course Interest Group Members,
    
I hope everyone's semester is off to a great start! I can't believe CSCA is just two short months away! If you haven't done so already, it's time to register and to book your hotel room(s). Registration is now open on the CSCA website http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/convention_reg. If you register early (before February 20), you'll receive a discounted price on your registration fees!

Our top panel this year, "Creating a Legacy of Excellence: Transformative Leaders in the Basic Communication Course," offers an interactive roundtable of “legendary” basic course directors Joshua Westwick, Cheri Simonds, Bill Seiler, Melissa Beall, and Sam Wallace discussing the strength and sustainability of the basic communication discipline that they have helped to create. We also have panels about the creative possibilities and unique challenges of teaching honors sections of the basic course, creating community in face-to-face and online teaching formats, empowering students with mental illnesses, and a spotlight on assessment.
