Intercultural Communication Interest Group Members,
This year we had a great amount of submissions from graduate students in the IIC interest group. I see this as great news for the future our interest group! In an effort to build a supportive academic community, I am hoping we can invest in graduate students by beginning a Coffee with a Scholar program. This involves pairing graduate students with faculty members for the purpose of mentoring and networking. If you would be interested in meeting with a graduate student for coffee or lunch to discuss their research, the job market, or any other areas of interest, please let me know. Likewise, if you are a graduate student who would like to be paired with a faculty member, please let me know. I would pair faculty and students together based on their interests. You then would contact each other to set up a plan to meet at the 2020 conference. To get paired with someone, please email lcramer@coastal.edu with your name, status (faculty, MA or PhD student), institutional affiliation, and research and teaching interests. please respond by Friday, March 27th.
