We need you- Be a part of CSCA's Next Leaders Network mentoring initiative!

Hello all,

I hope you are having a great start to the semester and are looking forward to both warmer days and that warm feeling you get when you log into your first Central States conference session. We are reaching out to you to inform you of an upcoming opportunity.

You may recall the Central States Next Leaders Network Initiative from announcements and events planned for last year‘s conference. The Next Leaders Network will be back again this year with more exciting events including a kickoff to our new mentoring program. This is why I’m reaching out to you today. We are hoping to roll out our mentor matches prior to the conference so that you and your match can find some downtime between sessions to connect.

The Next Leaders Network mentoring program matches mentors and mentees across a variety of areas in hopes of building relationships and developing future leaders. For those looking to get feedback on a paper or project, you have the opportunity to get matched with other individuals who specialize in that area. For those looking for guidance on developing a new course or updating a course that they haven’t taught in a while, you can sign up to be a mentee and preference the teaching option. Are you someone who is facing an issue at your institution, are looking to help other faculty with tenure portfolio materials, or are putting the final touches on job market documents? The Next Leaders Network mentoring program is here to help you with any of these areas.

So, think about what areas you might need some guidance on or areas you could help others with. We would love to see you sign up as a mentee, mentor, or both. You can sign up by clicking on the attached links.

Please sign up by Wednesday, March 3rd so that we have plenty of time to work on matches before you login to your first session at the 2021 Central States Communication Association Conference. Sign up will stay open after March 3rd, but matches might not be made for those individuals before the conference.

Thank you again for taking part! Please let me know if you have any questions at any point,
