Undergraduate Honors Research Conference at CSCA ... January 10th, 2025 submission deadline

As the semester starts to wrap up and we enjoy all of our excellent student papers and projects, don't forget to share with your students the upcoming January 10th, 2025 deadline for the Undergraduate Honors Research Conference at CSCA. I hope you will share our upcoming call for student submissions with your faculty and undergraduate students. CSCA would love student submissions of either competitive papers or abstracts for works in progress. Please note that only complete papers are eligible for the Top Paper Award and Lambda Pi Eta Top Paper award.

If you have not had the opportunity to bring undergraduate students to CSCA yet, this is the perfect year. The Undergraduate Honors Research Conference, on Friday, April 4th and Saturday April 5th, continues to grow each year. This conference offers our students a chance to shine as they share their best work, networking opportunities with peers and faculty as well as a chance to meet with many of our regions' outstanding MA programs. Your students will have the opportunity to share their work, attend a range of panels featuring other undergraduate presentations, and also take part in the awards ceremony where all presenters will be recognized and top papers awarded.

Additionally, the conference hotel room rates are very reasonable for such a large city, and the hotel is located with a variety of affordable food options within a five-minute walk. Undergraduate student registration for the conference is just $30 for early bird registration which allows your students to attend both the Undergraduate Honors Research Conference as well as the general conference.

Submissions for the Undergraduate Honors Conference at CSCA are currently open at this link and will close on January 10th, 2025.

Additionally, as we expect to receive a large number of submissions to the Undergraduate conference, we are also asking for reviewers and chairs for these sessions. Papers will be sent out by the 12th to reviewers with feedback requested by the 24th. You (or your graduate students) can sign up to help with reviewing here.

We hope to see submissions from your undergraduate students soon, and that your department will plan to join us for our 94th annual Central States Communication Association Conference in Cincinnati, OH from April 1-6, 2025!

Please let me know if you have any questions at any time.

Best,

Kathy
