CSCA 2025 ... Interpersonal and Family Interest Group Updates

Hello IFC Members!

Cincinnati is right around the corner and the Interpersonal and Family Communication Interest Group has a great line-up.

Our Top Papers will be Thursday, April 3 from 12:30 pm to 1:45 in Salon I. Our Business Meeting will follow it from 2:00 pm to 3:15 pm in the same room.

Featured panels include:

• Friday, April 4 at 9:30 am: The Future and Growth of IFC.
• Join panelists as they recall the influence of recently departed Interpersonal and Family scholars and how their work will influence the growth and future of our field.
• Saturday, April 5 at 3:00 pm: Challenging the Discourse
• Papers center on how scholars are challenging the way we approach interpersonal and family communication.

Please note that CSCA will host individual panels to remember Chad McBride and Sandra Petronio.

            Saturday, April 5 Celebrating the Life of Chad McBride 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm Salon B

The group is seeking nominations for a Vice-Chair and Paper Readers.

• The vice chair serves a 2-year term. During the first year, they will assist the Chair, serve as a paper reader, and attend the planning panel at CSCA in 2026.  During the second year, you will serve as chair, planning the 2027 conference, and overseeing the first half of the 2027 business meeting.
• Paper readers will serve as reviewers for CSCA 2026. Most of the work will be done in October. The more readers, the fewer papers/panels one has to review.
