Undergraduate Honors Research Conference at CSCA ... January 9th, 2026 submission deadline

Hope your 2026 is off to a great start! As you begin your final preparation for the new semester, don't forget to share with your students the upcoming January 9th, 2026 deadline and call for submissions for the Undergraduate Honors Research Conference at CSCA. CSCA would love student submissions of either competitive papers or abstracts for works in progress. 

If you have not had the opportunity to bring undergraduate students to CSCA yet, this is the perfect year. The Undergraduate Honors Research Conference, on Friday, April 17th and Saturday April 18th, continues to grow each year. Your students will have the opportunity to share their work, attend a range of panels featuring other undergraduate presentations, and also take part in the awards ceremony where all presenters and mentors will be recognized and top papers awarded. Undergraduate student registration for the conference is just $30 for early bird registration which allows your students to attend both the Undergraduate Honors Research Conference as well as the general conference.

Submissions for the Undergraduate Honors Conference at CSCA are currently open at this link and will close on January 9th, 2026.

Additionally, as we expect to receive a large number of submissions to the Undergraduate Honors Research Conference, we are also asking for reviewers, chairs, and respondents for these sessions. Papers will be sent out by the 12th to reviewers with feedback requested by the 24th. You (or your graduate students) can sign up to help with reviewing here by January 9th.

We hope to see submissions from your undergraduate students soon, and that your department will plan to join us for our 95th annual Central States Communication Association Conference in Minneapolis, MN from April 15-18, 2026!
