Dear CSCA Members:
Chad Edwards, the Executive Director, and I wanted to give you a quick update on the call for next year and the new online submission system.
If you have gone to our website looking for the call for the 2019 conference in Omaha, NE (April 3-6), you may be wondering why there are not more details up. All of the calls that interest groups have had in the past are needing to be reformatted to reflect the new online submission system. (For example, there will not be a need to send cover sheets for submissions anymore!) Since the system is currently still being built for CSCA, we do not know all of the details of how this system will look and what details might need to be in a call. However, I can tell you the deadline for submissions will be Wednesday, October 10th at 11:59 pm CST. (We made this deadline a week later than previous years to accommodate any possible delays with implementing this new system.)

We saw the first prototype of the submission part of the system last week, and it looks great! If you have submitted to NCA, it will look very familiar, and it should be very user-friendly for submitters, program planners, and reviewers. We are very excited about moving CSCA into this new technological future! Program planners will be getting me details of specific calls as soon as we have more details, and as they are posted on the website and available, you will be notified.
